First Impressions: Makeup Revolution♡

I've seen so many people talk about Makeup Revolution as an incredibly affordable but amazing drugstore brand across the beauty world these past couple months but I could never manage to get hold of any of their items but I finally did and today, I tell you my thoughts on them and if they really are worth the hype.

I bought two items to try out and the first one I picked up was the Redemption Palette Iconic 2 which looked incredibly similar to the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay and I couldn't resist not getting it, especially at the price of €7.49!

The shades I was drawn to were the second and fourth as they looked incredibly pigmented and I must say, they're extremely pigmented, even more when applied with a primer! The matte shades are much more on the cool toned side and if you're into them kind of shades like me, this is the perfect palette for you!

There's so many things to love about this palette and one of those things is the variety of different shades it offers. There's a total of four mattes and eight shimmers and you can create a dramatic smoky eye or a more daytime friendly kind of look.

There isn't a thing that I've come across yet that I don't like about this palette and it has now become part of my everyday makeup routine, I love it that much!

Moving onto the star of the show, the Vivid Baked Highlighter in the shade 'Peach Lights', this is a cool toned (once again) peach-pink highlighter with very fine specks of silver glitter.

When I first tested this, I noticed no fall out at all as it is a baked product you can use it wet or dry! I've used this about 4-5 times and the design of the actual product is still intact, it could even pass off as new!

This particular shade will suit any skin tone but is great for people with pink undertones in their skin. Makeup Revolution have another shade in this highlighter as well, which would be more suitable for people with yellow undertones in their skin.

Also, this highlighter is super easy to blend and you can keep on building the product up on your skin to get your desired pigmentation. I apply it generously to the high points of my face as I must say, highlighter is a staple in my makeup routine.

I highly recommend these products I've mentioned, especially the highlighter and I'm definitely going to be making a few more purchases from this brand as I am 100% sure I've fallen in love.

If you've tried anything from Makeup Revolution, what's your verdict? Let me know!

A Fresh Start♡

Wow, this feels extremely weird but extremely good.

If you don't know me, hey! I'm Niamh and I gave up blogging in June due to a few things:

  1. I felt so under pressure to get a post up in time.
  2. I was transitioning into an exam year in my school (fyi, I just finished my mocks!)
  3. I had a writers block... For 7 months...
Basically, that's all I can say. I missed blogging so much but as I said, because I reached quite a large following on here I felt under immense pressure to get a post up on time.

But, I'm back!

I'm going to focus more on my blog & YouTube so I can reach my goals on both of them this year and I'm not going to have an uploading schedule because last time I did and as I've mentioned, that's what put me under pressure. I'll upload when I want which could be once a week when I'm at school and a few more times when I'm not and have holidays. I have midterm this week so I'll be able to get up a couple of posts which I'm extremely excited about! I want to put out better content for you guys as well and definitely focus more on my photography even though the lighting is crap at the moment! Hopefully it will pick up soon, it is spring after all...

I think that's all I have to say, I'm so happy to be back and to be writing again and I hope you guys are as well, I missed you all a lot!
